The ministry area of witness includes evangelism, communications, lay speaking, and lay service.

Through the ministry of witness, people share their understanding and experience of personal and corporate salvation, reconciliation, worship, celebration, spiritual development, and discipline. Witness also provides people with opportunities to work for justice, righteousness, and the redemption of the world. (“From Guidelines: Small-Membership Church 2017–2020. The witness team coordinates, plans, carries out, and evaluates the congregation’s witness ministries, helping all know and respond to the love of God in Christ. This includes planning evangelistic outreach and setting goals for congregational growth, visitation, and membership care.

The Great Commission of Jesus Christ is plain and simple: Christians are to tell others about the gospel and encourage them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).

Pisgah participates in the Servant Lay Ministries of the district and has a Certified Lay Servant. Classes are available on many different topics and all members are encouraged to participate. This program helps prepare people to serve in local churches as well as the communities they serve.
